This course is specially designed for the curious listeners as well as beginners. The course aims to present an overview of the musical notes, elements of rhythm, vocabulary of music, characteristics of musical forms, aspects of music and its aesthetics. This will facilitate guidance to the learners towards the supreme art- music.

This course is a step ahead to the part 1 course with a motive to present understanding and practical use of the information obtained in part 1.

This course is intended to strengthen the foundation of the music learners. The course will ascertain the essence of the forms used in light music, voice modulation techniques, purity of pronunciation, overview of microphone techniques, etc.

'Voice' is the basic tool for vocal music. This course will assist to improve voice quality, and provide knowledge of the important elements of voice: range, throw, smoothness, effectiveness; and guidelines for healthy throat and voice.

Thumri-Dadra is a light classical form of Indian Music. It is an inseparable part of the classical music concerts of present time. Correspondingly, it also holds certain elements of light music. It should be performed keeping balance between the elements of classical and light music. An artist requires proficiency in performing this form. Basic understanding, key features of the form, about ragas used in this form, lagaavat of voice, improvisation, etc would be covered in this course.

'Tarana' is the form sung in classical vocal music concerts. In today's context, we find the use of this form in film music and experimental music due to its distinctive character, mainly the words and letters used in it. For performing this form an artist needs to have expertise in improvising techniques along with an understanding of its key features. This course is for inculcating such skills and attributes of Tarana.

Foundation course is a preparatory course in the subject. This course is proposed to provide the Understanding of musical notes, laya, thaats, innovative riyaz methods, alankar- pattern practice methods, voice techniques etc. This would open new avenues in the vision regarding music and its aesthetics, and impart independent thinking.

This is the course for developing singing skills that includes healthy breath, good voice quality, voice techniques, skilled throat, creation of patterns in music, swara and laya practices, reading & writing of Indian notations, modern riyaz methods, basic understanding of raga structure, etc. This is the intensive course where a student is expected to follow the instructions regarding practice dedicatedly.
